M&A CREATIVE AGENCY RECEIVES THREE AWARDS AT GERMAN DESIGN AWARD 2019
M&A Creative Agency received three prizes during the ceremony of the German Design Award 2019 on Friday, February 8, in Frankfurt, Germany. The international competition that distinguishes world design excellence from the German Design Council, awarded the agency in the category of "Packaging - Excellent Communications Design", with two projects in the Portuguese wine sector and a third in the hotel sector.
M&A Creative Agency's works were awarded with a "Winner" award for the label design of Envelope (Magnum - Carlos Lucas Vinhos) and two "Special Mention", attributed to the Curvos label range design (Quinta de Curvos) and to the Saudade (Lousani Luxury Amenities) packaging design.
The design created for the label of Envelope was based on the importance of sending a letter and the feelings it carries, leading to a journey that culminates with the aromas of Dão. A concept that the jury considered "sophisticated", for crossing in a "brilliant way the theme of appreciating wine with that of introspection".
The creation of the Curvos range represents in each label different elements of Quinta de Curvos, a mystical place surrounded by gardens with several species of camellias. The creative concept involves traditional Portuguese embroidery. A job the jury found to be "surprisingly appealing by elegantly distinguishing the different varieties of these patterns."
Finally, there is Saudade by Lousani, with a striking design that ingeniously evokes the art of Portuguese tiles, transposing them into the packaging created. "A magnificent design with high recognition value", in the words of the jury.
It is recalled that the German Design Award, created in 2012, is the main international award assigned by the German Design Council. M&A Creative Agency has already been awarded by the contest in 2016 and 2018.
